"It's a TUNDRA out here!"

HELLO EVERYONE!! :) I hope you are having an awesome Christmas Season and you are getting everything done on time ... unlike me.. but I am definitely trying!!! Christmas has just come so quick and I can't believe I only have a week left of telling the people of New York "Merry Christmas" however, I am so grateful that I am a missionary at this time so that I can continue to talk to them about Jesus Christ.I love how people's hearts just seem to soften during the Christmas season. It is truly amazing.. we have been able to see lots of Christmas Miracles even if they are little ones.. everyone just grows a little nicer during the Christmas season. :)

Well, this week was FREEEZZING!! But sooo much fun!! We were out in the cold and the blizzards and we were definitely seeing miracles. :) So I think I told you all about the Book of Mormon challenge of holding it in sight everywhere we go and well this week was cold but we still did it. There was one point on an exchange where I was with Sister Walker and we were holding our Books of Mormon the sun was shining and it was 8 degrees outside ... haha and I forgot my gloves but I still held the Book of Mormon not sure if that was stupidity or not but WE SAW A MIRACLE!! So we were trying a Former Investigator and she was in a gated apartment complex so we had to ring to get in and one of the maintenance guys was really nice and took us to her room and knocked on it for us! She wasn't home but we got talking to him (meanwhile holding our Books of Mormon) and he said "Oh.. your Mormon. My parents are Jehovah Witnesses" We started talking to him and asked his religious background. He just said he was confused. We then offered him a Book of Mormon and he took it immediately :) We have seen countless miracles like that when we are truly just having it in sight :)

We also have a baptism on TUESDAY! SURPRISE! Christmas miracle!! :) So this part member family, The Sevilla's, came to the Christmas party and we are having a baptism for their son on Tuesday! It will be lots of fun and we are REALLY excited to work with getting the family active! He technically isn't a Convert baptism but we are working with the ward to get him baptized!! :) It has been so much fun to work with him and teach their cute family! :)

Victoria is still AMAZING!! We taught her about the Sabbath Day and Following the Prophet this week and she just gets it! :) She is sooo excited to have this chance to show God that she is obedient to his commandments and see the blessings that come from that. :) We are really excited for her! She is amazing!!!

We met with this girl that is 17 :) She is ADORABLE!! I love her a lot! her name is Lilia and we are going through the lessons with her but we teach her in the freezing cold so lessons are like 10 minutes! :) but she is cute!!

We picked up and investigator that has been a little lost for a while! Sister Lee (one of the Office Sisters) came out with us and we went and taught Jay the Plan of Salvation. It was awesome we just testified of the atonement the whole time! It was great and it was exactly what he needed to here. The Plan of Salvation brings so much comfort in many different ways but I was really excited that he was most comforted by the Atonement. It was awesome! :) I really love teaching in this area! :)

We picked up another new investigator Derek! He is the quirkiest guy I have ever met! :) But he is sooo cool and has been reading the Book of Mormon since the Sister's first gave it to him a month ago! It is really cool and he brought a friend to the lesson Chris and he was SOOO prepared he  is baptist and is a Scout master, he has met MANY mormons!! He is really impressed by some of them and wanted to read the Book of Mormon. It was cool.. unfortunately he lives in Rochester but we gave him our info anyway! :)

I AM soo excited to talk to you all on SUNDAY!! :) So I hope that you have a good week until then! come up with some good questions to ask me! :) LOVE YOU ALL!!

It has been so much fun to involve the church Christmasistmas initiative to our missionary work! It has been a conscious effort to go out of our way and serve even more this week. I hope that you are all joining in and doing all you can to become more like the Savior!! :) This week was great and we had a lot going on! Hopefully I can share it all with you!!

We got to watch the Christmas Devotional with our investigator Victoria! She is doing so well and she loved it! As we were watching it with her she kept pausing it so that we could talk about the things that were blowing her mind! She was so cute about it!! :) It was fun!! She also came to the Christmas party this week and the WHOLE family came too to watch her littlest daughter Sophia preform in the Christmas pageant! She is so sweet!! :) It was awesome to have them there!

Mike that we put on date for baptism last week is stilll doing well. We hope that he will continue to progress but Sister Ferrin and I saw him seperately on exchanges this week!! But Alieanna his neice that is a Recent Convert is doing great at sharing it with him! :) She is so sweet and bears some awesome testimony!

We also met this awesome new potentials. they are college students and they were super open to learning more so hopefully I can update you on those 2 girls soon!!! :) It has been really cool!! We have been seeing miracles as we have taken the challenge of the AP's to always carry in our hands the Book of Mormon as we are finding it is helping us immediately testify of our unique message and help us find the elect :) It is AWESOME!!! :)  We gave away 3 Books of  Mormon this week and we got let into 2 doors while tracting.. WHICH IS HUGEEEEEEEE!!!! It was awesome!! We picked up a new investigator Sandra! Sister Ferrin tracked into her a while ago and she told her to "just come back later" but not someone who seemed super solid. We were driving down the street though and we passed her house and Sister Ferrin pulls over and we go and try and she let us right in!! We were shocked and she was so willing to listen, She was tearing up as we shared the message of the restoration with her and she is going to let us come back :) I am super excited to work with her!! :)

We had two exchanges this week, zone conference, the ward Christmas party, and caroling and dinner with President and Sister Rogers. It was so much fun!!! I loved exchanges one of my favorite parts was being with Sister Frank (she was trained by Sister Baxter after me in Vestal) so it was really fun to catch up with her and have that time to talk about Vestal! I love that cute little town!! :) It was a blast!! I love all the Sisters that came for exchanges though it is just a blast to be with them and to switch companions for a day!! :) It's good to learn new skills!! Zone Conference was really awesome too!! It was all about the Book of Mormon and that is when we got to promise to carry the Book of Mormon outside our bags and that we would see miracles and WE DID !! :) Then the ward Christmas party was awesome and we became friends with one of the Part Member families and we are going to start teaching the kids so that they can get baptized!! :) It is awesome!!! We also got to be Santa's elves!! :) Then yesterday we had dinner with the Elders and the Office couples and President and Sister Rogers! :) After we were done eating we went caroling with the group and then we just went on with our night and it was great!!

I love the Christmas Season!!! :) I hope you all have a great week!!

So I am loving New Hartford!! :) It is so much fun!! :) Me and Sister Ferrin are getting along great and doing good work here!! We are really excited to see where this transfer takes us! The ward is also great and I absolutely love all the people we are teaching! We teach a LOT of young kids! It is good! They all love us and are just the sweetest! :)

So we have this awesome investigator Victoria who has come to church 4 times and absolutely loves it!!! She is doing awesome!!! She doesn't want to set a date for baptism yet because she doesn't see the need for her to get married.. so we are going to have to work through that one! :)

We also teach "the Utica Crew". the crew has multiple teenagers who love the sisters! 3 of them are already members!! It is awesome! They all have a really hard life but the ward is great and taking them in and helping them remain active it is awesome!! :) We love them a lot!!

Then Valentina a 14-year-old who is just the cutest thing! She loves what she is learning and really wants to come to church but she hasn't been able to talk her mom into letting her go yet. It's kinda sad. But we will get them there soon  :)

We also went out with Sister Rogers this week and it was great! It has been so much fun being so close to President and Sister Rogers and the other office couples. It has definitely been a change and we do laundry at the mission home which is the first good laundry machine I have had on my mission everything is so clean!!!

We picked up a new investigator and put him on baptismal date for Feb 25th!! Mike. is Alieanna's uncle (she is a recent convert) When Alieanna was baptized she just wanted her example to help her family come into the church and last night when we went to see her, her uncle joined in and agreed to be baptized! She was so excited for him it was awesome!! I am loving New Hartford!!

It was hard to leave Syracuse.. I got to take pictures with everyone and say goodbye it was great! I can't wait to see them all again!

Well love you all!! have a great week!!!
